2. The essentials first

This website is a static site without cookies, without tracking and without audience measurement. No analytics services are used and no content is loaded from advertising networks. All fonts and scripts are hosted on our own server; opening a page does not establish any connection to third parties. The map (OpenStreetMap) loads only after a click (see section 5).

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Strato GmbH, Pascalstraße 10, 10587 Berlin, Germany. On every page view the web server automatically stores log files (IP address, browser identifier, time, page requested). These data are not merged with other sources and are deleted after 14 days. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technical provision and security of the service).

4. TLS/SSL encryption

The connection to this website is encrypted via TLS/SSL (recognisable by the lock symbol and “https://”).

5. OpenStreetMap map (click to load)

The event map uses map tiles provided by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF), St John's Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom. The tiles are loaded only after you actively switch the map on by clicking — before that, no data is sent to third parties. When you activate it, your IP address is transmitted to the OSMF (legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, consent given by the click). Details: OSMF Privacy Policy.

6. Contact and event submission

This website contains no contact or submission form. Contact and event submissions are handled exclusively by e-mail (via mailto: links). If you write to us, we store your message for processing; no data is collected on the web server. You can request deletion of your data by e-mail at any time. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, or (b) for pre-contractual enquiries.

7. Event data

The calendar contains publicly available information about dance events (title, date, venue, organiser, admission) that the organisers themselves have published. The only personal data involved are the names of organisers in their professional role (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — legitimate interest in an overview of the scene; the information originates from the publications of the persons named). We will correct or remove entries on request: info@tango-germany.com.

8. Your rights

Regarding your personal data, you have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, e.g. the Saxon Data Protection Commissioner.
